About Us

Founded in 1982, Geotest is a geologic consulting company based in Costa Rica with presence in Central and South America. Our specialties include geotechnics, hydrogeology, and geophysics applied to the geologic characterization of the ground and subsurface as supporting means for civil works, such as roads, bridges, dams, tunnels and construction in general, assessment of geologic hazards, assessment of groundwater resources, and evaluation and development of water supply works.

Roberto Protti - Project Manager

Roberto is a geologist graduated from Universidad de Costa Rica with over 30 years of experience in geological, geotechnical, hydrogeological, and geophysical investigations in Costa Rica, Central America, Panama, Peru, and Bolivia, focused on evaluation of aquifer production potential, well engineering, rock and soil bearing capacity, slope stability, tunnel design and construction, technical feasibility for seawater desalination plants, and many others.

Bruno Protti - Geologist

Bruno graduated from Universidad de Costa Rica (BS - Geology) and Colorado School of Mines (MSc - Geological Engineering) and has over 8 years of experience in geological, geotechnical, and geophysical investigations in Costa Rica, Central America, Panama, United States, Argentina, Bolivia, and United Arab Emirates, with emphasis on geologic hazard assessment, slope stability and mitigation analyses, rock and soil drilling and sampling, and compressive- and shear-wave seismic refraction surveying.
